Providence Center, a ministry of the Sisters of Providence, is located at the heart of beautiful Saint Mary-of-the-Woods, Ind., the home of the Sisters of Providence. The official welcoming center for visitors, Providence Center has all the information you'll need to appreciate the beauty, history and spirituality of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods.

You’ll find friendly staff members to greet you and a variety of brochures and maps to guide you as you explore the grounds. Providence Center has dining services, the Sisters of Providence heritage museum and a gift shop. It is also home of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Providence.

Providence Center welcomes one and all to Saint Mary-of-the-Woods to share the faith, healing and peace that can be found in this sacred place. We especially welcome families and children to share in our spirit and heritage.

Enjoy a walk amidst the historic buildings at the Sisters of Providence motherhouse and Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, attend Liturgy with the Sisters of Providence in the breathtaking Church of the Immaculate Conception. Learn more about Saint Mother Theodore Guerin, foundress of the Sisters of Providence. Enjoy lunch or brunch in O’Shaughnessy Dining Room. Come for a visit, bring a group for a tour or arrange for a spiritual pilgrimage. There is much to see and do at Saint Mary-of-the-Woods!
